HIGHLIGHTS OF KENYA & TANZANIA
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
Upon arrival met and transferred to hotel for overnight.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park
Today’s destination is Lake Nakuru National Park, home to hundreds of lesser and greater flamingos. An afternoon game drive awaits with the chance to see a myriad of various game and birdlife.
Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enroute to Masai Mara, enjoy wonderful scenery and plenty of game. Be spoilt on game drives within the Reserve with the variety of bird and wildlife species to be seen, the Mara is one that will rarely disappoint.
Day 4: :Masai Mara Game Reserve
A full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara. Optional activities include Balloon Safari over the Mara plains or a visit to a traditional Masai Manyatta (own expense).
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
After an early morning breakfast set out for the border crossing into one of the world’s last great wildlife refuges, the Serengeti National Park.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Depart for a day of game viewing on the Serengeti Plains.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Travel to Ngorongoro Crater, via Olduvai Gorge, known as the “Cradle of Mankind”, where archaeological traces of prehistoric man 3.5 million years old have been discovered
Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Descend some 600 metres into the crater to enjoy a full day of game viewing. Considered the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, it is home to a spectacular concentration of wildlife including the Big 5. The crater has habitats including grassland, forest and swamp.
Day 9: Tarangire National Park
Today’s destination is Tarangire National Park, home to towering Baobob trees, herds of elephants, tree climbing lions and abundant bird life. Afternoon game drive.
Day 10: Amboseli National Park
Depart for Arusha, onto the Namanga border and after clearing immigration proceed to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch before departing on an afternoon game drive
Day 11: Amboseli National Park
Morning & afternoon game viewing drives in the game park known for its large elephant herds and views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day 12: Nairobi
Depart for Nairobi and transfer to Nairobi airport where tour concludes.
