Bhutan is also popularly known as the Last Shangrila or Heaven on Earth. Many believe it's the Switzerland of the East, but some argue it's even better. The Himalayan nation is also known for the concept of Gross National Happiness, which is reflective of the Bhutanese people's pursuit of happiness over materialism.
