This 5-night tour is a perfect way to compliment your European Holiday and get to see this Passion Play. In 1633, the residents of the town vowed that if they were spared from the bubonic plague sweeping the region, they would produce a play for all time depicting the life and death of Jesus. 
You will have the privilege of attending this epic play, performed every 10 years.

    Glacier Express Train

    With around 5 hours on board there is more than enough time to experience the Swiss countryside from the comfort of your window

    Arriving at Chur you will have to farewell the Glacier Express and settle into this lovely old town (the oldest in Switzerland).

    Sun, 13 September - Oberammergau, Germany

    Transfer to Oberammergau - Oberammergau Passion Play

    The true highlight of our tour awaits us today. Depart Chur this morning and travel to Oberammergau, where we will enjoy lunch at our hotel or a nearby restaurant in the area. Following lunch, we will be transferred to Oberammergau for the start of the Passion Play at 2:30 pm.

    Dinner will be served in a nearby restaurant during the 3-hour intermission.

    Following the conclusion of the play at around 10:30 pm, we will be transferred back to our hotel for our overnight stay.
