‘Bikies’ Travelling to Tasmania for a Road Trip

Updated: May 10, 2019

They call themselves ‘The Misfits.’ At first glance, you’d think they are a ‘Bikie Gang,’ but hang on they’re not what you think they are.

The Misfits is actually a group of recreational ‘Bikies.’ They are composed of professionals, ranging from CEOs to Business Owners from Melbourne and Sydney, who just love to travel around Tasmania with their Harley-Davidsons.

They fell in love with Tasmania and its accessible sights and luxury accommodation some three years ago when the group started a Group Tour around this magnificent island. This year, they hopped on the Spirit of Tasmania from Melbourne, then went to the breath-taking East Coast and stayed overnight at Bicheno by the Bay. The group then came down to Hobart and stayed in the new Ibis Styles along Macquarie Street. From there they journeyed to Strathgordon in between the unmatchableSouthwest National Park and Lake Pedder and stayed at the Pedder Wilderness Lodge.

After appreciating the beauty of the picturesque Southwest, they continued to Strahan and stayed at the Strahan Village. The group hopped on the award-winning Gordon River Cruise, exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site along the Gordon River. The final leg of their trip was a ride to the vibrant Northwest staying at the Tall Timbers, an awesome set dinner and a relaxing night before travelling back to the mainland. The Group is already looking forward to their 2020 trip.
