Experience a day you will never forget in Tasmania's capital by visiting both kunanyi/Mt Wellington and the incredible MONA museum!
MOUNTAIN & MONA
- Mona entry
- Visit to kunanyi/Mt Wellington
- Cascades Female Factory
- Return ferry journey to Hobart
Enjoy the weird and wonderful of Hobart with two of the city’s most popular sites in one magical day!
After passing through some of Hobart’s oldest suburbs we arrive to the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington to take in the best views of southern Tasmania. We then descend the mountain to have a brief visit to the Cascade Female Factory, one time a female prison – for an insight into the lives of the convict women once imprisoned there. Then we are set for a memorable afternoon at the one-of-a-kind MONA (Museum of Old and New Art). Described by its creator as a ‘subversive adult Disneyland’ Mona is Tasmania’s most visited tourist attraction and offers visitors a unique and unforgettable experience. Explore Australia’s largest private collection of art and artefacts or enjoy a delicious meal from one of many restaurants (at own expense) at your own leisure before catching the 4pm ferry back to Brooke St Pier on Hobart’s waterfront to finish the tour.
