Paris → Rome
DAY 1 - Paris
Welcome to France! Upon arrival, you’ll check into your centrally located hotel for a three-night stay. Spend the rest of the day acquainting yourself with the landscapes, architecture and fine cuisine of the ‘City of Light'. (Overnight in Paris)
DAY 2 - Paris
Today get a great view across Paris using your skip the line Eiffel Tower tickets, then relax with a 1hr cruise along the Seine river. (Overnight in Paris)
DAY 3 - Paris
Check out the Champs-Élysées, the most famous avenue in the city. Must-see places include Cathédrale de Notre-Dame, Marché des Enfants Rouges, Ile Saint-Louis for shopping, and Rue des Martyrs, Paris’ 200-year-old bustling street market packed with fromageries, boulangeries, and boucheries. If you have time to fit in one more stop today, go to Sacré-Cœur Basilica, the Roman Catholic church perched atop Montmartre. DAY 4 - Paris to Geneva
Catch your high-speed train from Paris to Geneva. Travelling between these two iconic cities is quick and easy. Once in Geneva, check into your hotel for a one-night stay. Spend the rest of the day exploring the sights of the city, including the world’s highest fountain, the Jet d’Eau. In the evening, enjoy a tasty meal at a local lakeside restaurant, or take a relaxing boat trip out on the lake and admire the city’s cosmopolitan feel and the stunning backdrop of the Alps and the Jura mountains. DAY 5 - Geneva to Zermatt
After breakfast this morning, make your way to the railway station for your train to Zermatt, where you can begin using your included three-day Swiss Travel Pass. Marvel at the breath-taking views of the Matterhorn. Take a mountain excursion on your own to Gornergrat or Klein Matterhorn for epic views. In town, visit the Matterhorn Museum, stroll around and explore, or simply relax in the Alpine village while enjoying some Swiss cuisine. (Overnight in Zermatt)
DAY 6 - Zermatt to St Moritz
Take the famous Glacier Express from Zermatt to St. Moritz. This eight-hour train journey takes you through the cantons of Valais, Uri and Graubünden, offering incredible experiences onboard. Cross over 291 bridges, viaducts, travel through 91 tunnels, and enjoy panoramic views of the changing landscapes. Once in the glitzy resort town of St. Moritz, explore by foot to appreciate its appreciate traditional Engadin houses, art nouveau architecture, and high-end boutiques. DAY 7 - St Moritz to Venice
Board the spectacular Bernina Express in St. Moritz to Venice, Italy. During your four-hour journey, the train will travel through 55 tunnels and across 196 bridges, including the revered Brusio Spiral Viaduct. The train crosses the Alps and offers breath-taking views from the panoramic carriages. Before arriving in Venice, you’ll change onto a high-speed train in Milan. Waterside Venice's reputation no doubt precedes it, and many say there is nowhere on earth that matches the beauty and tranquillity of its splendid canals. (Overnight in Venice)
DAY 8 - Venice
Start the day with a short walking tour for some stories of the city's labyrinthine streets and campos (squares), then enjoy a gondola ride down the Grand Canal. Speak to any of our Sales Consultants about perhaps visiting the impressive Doges Palace and Golden Basilica, or watch the world go by from one of the historic cafés on St Mark's Square with a with a glass of local Prosecco. DAY 9 - Venice
Spend an additional day discovering all that Venice has to offer. Fascinating museums, exquisite art galleries and ornate churches await! Enjoy a tasty lunch by the waterside and maybe sample some local delights at the Rialto Markets, including a fish market held here for over 1000 years. Be sure to leave some time to take a tour of the famous glassblowers on the island of Murano and stopover at Burano, a small island famous for lace and its colourful houses. (Overnight in Venice)
DAY 10 - Venice to Florence
Board a Trenitalia train from Venice to Florence today. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Why not enjoy a famous gelato as you stroll through the city's lively piazzas? Admire the charming views along the River Arno and cross the city's oldest bridge, the 14th century Ponte Vecchio. This evening, be sure to sample some authentic Tuscan cuisine, including a glass of wine from the hills that surround the city. (Overnight in Florence) DAY 11 - Florence Head to the popular Uffizi Gallery and see the Renaissance works of great artists such as Botticelli, Raphael and Michelangelo. Or visit to the Duomo Basilica and marvel at its beautiful frescoes and spectacular dome that dominates the city's skyline. Soak up the local architecture and visit some of the city's iconic churches, such as Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce. (Overnight in Florence)
DAY 12 - Florence to Rome
Enjoy a quick train ride onboard Trenitalia from Florence to Rome. With numerous departure times, you can choose when you want to travel. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Once you get settled, head out and start exploring via your 2-day Hop on Hop off sightseeing pass.
DAY 13 - Rome
Don't miss a stroll around some of the beautiful museums of Rome at your own pace. The Vatican museum holds a superb collection as well as housing the Sistine Chapel - the Vatican itself is also a country in its own right - the smallest in all of Europe. The Capitoline displays ancient Roman artefacts and the Borghese Gallery is world-renowned for its impressive artworks. In the evening, stroll to the Trevi Fountain and throw in a coin or two. The architecture is quite spectacular when lit up at night. (Overnight in Rome)
DAY 14 - Your Journey Ends in Rome
