The beautiful city of Florence is a gem in the crown of the renowned region of Tuscany, and its capital city should not be missed. Enjoy a full day of sightseeing as a local expert highlights such treasures as the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and Piazza del Duomo. Here, stand before the massive Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with its imposing dome and the gilded “Gates of Paradise,” the bronze doors adorning the neighboring Baptistery. Before your return to Assisi, take some time at leisure to savor the local flavors of this region and shop in the wonderful boutiques and acclaimed handicraft shops that Florence offers.

• Visit the Historic Ruins of Pompeii (Day 6 | Pompeii) $126.00 pp

Experience the eerie pull of history as you walk through Pompeii, the excavated ruins of a Roman city at the foothills of Mount Vesuvius. Discover what was buried under more than 60 feet of ash and pumice, sealing history away until it was discovered in the mid-1700s. The walking tour begins at Porta Marina, the city gate leading to the sea. Ascend to the Forum, which was once the core of daily life in the city, as well as Pompeii’s main place of citizen worship. Along the way, see the theatres, bath complex, and plaster casts while a local expert guides you through Pompeian life and history.

• Shrines of Italy Tour Gratuities ($231.00 pp)

Travelers departing from Australia & New Zealand can choose to pre-pay gratuities for their Tour Manager, driver(s), cruise staff when applicable, and local guides including those on optional tours. Gratuities for airport transfers, tour extensions, and any services not purchased through Collette are the responsibility of the traveler. In select cases where partner cruise lines automatically charge gratuities for cruise staff to traveler staterooms, Collette does not collect or distribute crew tips on behalf of the traveler.

Post Tour Extension - Mestre Extension $1,500.00 pp

Complete your spiritual journey through Italy with a 2-night Extension to Venice & St. Anthony of Padua. Place your hand on Saint Anthony's tomb during a devotional visit to Padua's Basilica. Enjoy a full day tour of Venice. Visit Murano Island for a glass-blowing demonstration. Then explore St. Mark’s Basilica, which enshrines the body of Saint Mark the Evangelist under the high altar. The extension is lead by a Collette Tour Manager and includes daily breakfast and 1 dinner. You will be accomodated in Mestre on the Venetian mainland or choose to stay an extra night in Rome.

Guided Experience the destination with a full itinerary planned for you. You’ll be joined by a dedicated Tour Manager and enjoy planned local experiences and sightseeing. In addition, your accommodations, daily breakfast, and any transfers to connect with your main tour are included. (The Tour Manager for your extension may or may not be the same person as your main tour.)

• Day 1 - Dinner (Rome - Padua - Mestre)
  Start your morning with a transfer to Padua and spend time in the Basilica of Saint Anthony. A sprawling church of iconic domes, this Franciscan sanctuary is visited by millions of pilgrims each year. You will have the option of celebrating Mass here. End your day in the city of Mestre, nestled along the coast of mainland Venice. Settle in for a 2-night stay, your gateway to the Venetian lagoon. This evening, experience the flavours of the region with a relaxing dinner at your hotel.
• Day 2 - Breakfast (Murano Island - Venice - Mestre)
  Enjoy a full day tour of Venice. Start your day with a boat trip* to Murano Island for a glass-blowing demonstration. After getting a glimpse into the local culture, make your way to St. Mark’s Square and join a local expert for a walking tour. You’ll explore this famous square and St. Mark’s Basilica, which enshrines the body of Saint Mark the Evangelist under the high altar. Although Saint Mark was originally buried in Egypt, legend claims that two Venetian merchants stole the saint’s body from Alexandria and relocated him to Venice in the early 1800s. You will have the option of celebrating Mass here. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore the canals on your own before returning to your hotel on the mainland.
• Day 3 - Breakfast (Mestre - Extension Ends)

Includes booking changes requested by you, including but not limited to those changes requiring an airline ticket or a Purchase Confirmation reissue.

 • Changes - $100.00 per booking + additional charges from the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel providers.

Name Changes Due To Passenger Error

• If the incorrect name has been advised to TWAC, charges of $100.00 per booking + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel providers.

Supplier Fees

In the event the Travel Offer you have purchased is unable to proceed, and/or a travel Supplier is unable to fulfil the Travel Offer due to external circumstances (Limitation of Liability e.g. a Force Majeure event), there may be a fee or amount of money that is withheld by our Suppliers and is unrecoverable. This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. TWAC has committed to these costs as your Agent and will endeavour to recover all funds committed and/or paid for your Travel Offer, but this may not be possible in all circumstances. If refunds are unavailable from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. If TWAC cannot obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee. This fee is not revenue-raising and is paid to or withheld by our suppliers when recovering payments.

Although you should read all of the terms and conditions, the following is a summary of the most important:

• Our travel package is non-refundable, however you will receive a travel credit to be applied to our travel services.
• You, as our client, agree to check all documentation immediately for errors. Travel With A Cause (TWAC) does not take responsibility for incorrect dates or names supplied.
• Prices, including, in some cases, of confirmed bookings, may be subject to change. ​
• Some confirmed bookings are non-refundable if cancelled by you and it is your responsibility to check if this applies.
• We will be entitled to retain our service fees even if a booking is cancelled or does not proceed for any reason which is not our fault.
• It is your responsibility to make yourself aware of all information relevant to your travel plans, including but not limited to visa requirements and health precautions.
• There may be some additional fees or other incentives from Suppliers.
• We are not liable for the recent updates of any published Supplier content including websites and brochures

CANCELLATION POLICY
Tour packages are non-refundable. If your tour package is affected by Covid-19 related travel restrictions and you are unable to travel, you will receive either a free date change (credit that is specific to your original package and purchase value) or an open credit less any non-recoverable supplier fees to the value of your original purchase for use on any other tour or package available via the TWAC website.
 
Please note: Date change credits are subject to availability and not guaranteed until confirmed by TWAC, not the tour operator you are due to stay with.
 
We recommend you consider purchasing travel insurance with Covid-19 protection. The standard cancellation policy will apply if you cannot travel because you have tested positive for Covid-19.
