TWAC's exclusive Tassie Tour! Run by our beloved Chris who was once the biggest grower of poppies and has lots of experience in dairy, sheep farming, crop growing and cherries.
Come and join this exhilarating tour that gives hands-on farm life experience, feeding fish, sheep, cows and chickens.
Departure from Hobart

Our first stop is on the beautiful New Norfolk Esplanade to see the ducks and also a chance to look for platypus on the Derwent River.
10:00 -10:45 am
Salmon Ponds. Feed the fish and look at the hatchery and museum
Glenora stop at Cherry farm to see the orchard and buy cherries (when in season)
11:10 - 12:15 pm
See the poppy field and take a photo of the view over the beautiful Derwent Valley. See sheep shearing, sheep dog demonstration, get to touch both. See many different breeds of sheep and get to touch them and also different types of wool. See lots of cattle and pat a pet cow. Stunning views from here back to Mount Wellington to take some special photos

Watch cows being milked at the dairy. Taste the amazing caramel sauce made by the dairy farmer's daughter from their milk! Dulche de Leche a Thick Caramel Sauce
An organic market garden and get to walk around the pretty gardens and see the many varieties of chickens and see the eggs in the chook pen.
