DAY 1 - WELCOME TO SRI LANKA
The Negombo town has several buildings dating back to the Dutch and Portuguese colonial days. The sea and catamarans are the backdrop of the Negombo scenery. The lagoon is famous for its harvest of lobsters, crabs and prawns and the fish auctions on the beach are worth a look. Also visit the Dutch Fort and a Catholic Church.
Day 2 - NEGOMBO TO HABARANA
Leave Negombo and head to Habarana with an “Optional” stop at the Millennium Elephant Foundation. The Millennium Elephant Foundation is situated on a 15 acre estate known as Samaragiri, which has been home to the Samarasinghe family for many generations.
The Dambulla rock temple was built by King Walagambahu in the 1stcentury B.C. and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples.
DAY 03 | EXPLORE
Breakfast at the hotel & thereafter visit the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress
Thereafter “Optional” Hiriwaduna Nature Trek OR spend
the rest of your day at leisure relaxing by the pool!
SIGIRIYA – this UNESCO World Heritage Site, a spectacular Rock Fortress, is one of Sri Lanka’s major attractions. The most impressive facets of the unique complex are the Water Gardens, the Frescoes of beautiful maidens, the Mirror Wall with ancient graffiti, the Lion platform and the Summit of 1.6 hectares, which was completely covered by buildings during the period of Sigiriya’s glory.
After enjoying a mouth watering Sri Lankan cuisine return back to your hotel & spend the rest of your evening at leisure.
DAY 04 | HABARANA TO KANDY
Leave Kandalama/ Sigiriya and head to Kandy via Matale Spice Garden.
An agricultural zone in the Central Province, Matale seldom drops off the maps due to its remarkable contribution through flagship crops
of the island extending from tea, rubber & vegetables to spices.
DAY 05 | KANDY TO NUWARA ELIYA
Leave Kandy and head to Nuwara Eliya En route visiting a Tea Factory / Ramboda Waterfall
Visit a Tea Factory and become familiar with the various tea verities produced in Sri Lanka. Witness the tea leaves been proceed and blend and test a good cup of tea given free before leaving the factory.
This unique and beautiful sight can be seen at the Pussellawa area of Nuwara Eliya, at the Ramboda Pass. The Ramboda Falls in Sri Lanka or Ramboda Ella or Puna Ella as these falls are called is created from Puna Oya, a tributary of Kothmale Oya. It makes a twin with Dunsinane Falls which is created by Pundalu Oya, also a tributary of Kothmale River, and combines at the base to form a Y shape.
NUWARA ELIYA - Sri Lanka's premier hill resort with a fine bracing mountain climate, Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, producing some of the world’s best tea.
DAY 06 | NUWARA ELIYA TO BERUWALA
Leave Nuwara Eliya and head to Beruwala
Spend the rest of your day at leisure soaking up the sun or relaxing by the pool. Overnight stay on Half Board basis in Beruwala.
DAY 07 | DAY EXCURSION TO GALLE
Galle, the epic Southern capital, is the intersection where classic Dutch architecture meets a tropical setting creating a vivid atmosphere in beauty. Walk the Dutch-haunted streets listening to the creaks of wooden saloon doors and observe how European architecture mingles with South Asian traditions today flooding cultural enthusiasts on a global scale.
Enjoy a leisurely bike ride between a nearby beach and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Galle Fort. You will cycle along paths and back roads past lagoons, paddy fields and the fruit, vegetable and fish markets on the outskirts of Galle, before a loop around the small streets of this beautiful fortified town.
DAY 08 | DEPARTURE
