Day 1 Fly to Manila, Philipphines
Aim to arrive lunchtime/ early afternoon at Manila Airport and we will pick you up and shuttle to our location. Short briefing and after dinner you can head out to Manila nightclubs if you're game!
Day 2 Slum Feeding, Chill and Optional Instramurous
After brekky, we head to Zone 3 to participate in MZCF slum feeding and see the infectious smiles of the locals. We head to Intramuros for lunch. Option 1 For history buffs, a guided tour through Spanish walled city to understand Jose Rizal’s struggle to liberate his people from 333 years of Spanish rule. If history bores you to tears, you can chill in the bar or visit chaotic Divisoria Mall in nearby china town. Night you are free to chill or go out again to Manila nightclubs.
Day 3 Fly to San Vincente and GK Village
A sleep in then we fly to San Vincente to start our Bayani Challenge. Welcome to the village and Amazing Race Challenge- we dare you to take it! (continued)
Day 4 to 5 GK Bayani Challenge
Gawad Kalinga (GK) is an incredible organisation working in 3000 communities with a goal to lift 5 million Filipinos out of poverty by 2024. “Bayani” means Hero in the Filipino language Tagalog. The challenge involves volunteering in local barangays via school painting, mangrove planting and feeding programs. Morning is split group activity of "Kusinang kalinga" - preparation of food and serving in barangays, schools and Heroes Home Build project. Afternoon activities we split into other activities and “Palarong Pinoy” play games with village children.
Day 6 Overnight Camping Tropical Island
To celebrate our Bayani Challenge we go out to stunning Manta Bay Reef and then stop overnight at Inaladelan Island for bonfires and you may even swim with a turtle!
Day 7 Journey to El Nido
After our amazing tropical island experience we take a van to El Nido. Afternoon chill time and soak in the beach.
Day 8 El Nido Ziplining and Mangrove Challenge
Today we rejoin GK and volunteer in coastal clean up and potentially mangrove planting. The last part of the day we will Zipline across turquoise water between two islands. Sip a cocktail as we take in the glorious sunset over El Nido archipelago islands.
Day 9 Island Hopping
El Nido has been called Unspoiled Paradise on Earth. We take an all day island hopping cruise to see an underwater world that will take your breath away.
Day 10 Flight Back to Manila
We fly to Manila for some last minute shopping and for your
flight home.
