RUSSELL FALLS
Journey into the wilderness to experience Tasmania’s oldest national park on this breathtaking adventure!
We head north-west through the beautiful Derwent Valley to reach the pristine Mt Field National Park, home of the glorious Russell Falls. On the way we will stop for morning tea (provided) at the Salmon Ponds, the oldest trout hatchery in the southern hemisphere, having been in operation since 1864! Once we reach Mt Field National Park take a walk through the dense rainforest fern glades and huge fronds of the forest canopy to see Russell Falls before having lunch (at own expense) at the Waterfalls Cafe before we head back to Hobart.
