New Zealand is home to some spectacular hikes. There’s gorgeous Abel Tasman and the Heaphy Track, not to mention remote Rakiura. Yet there’s one which ranks above almost all others - the South Island's dramatic Routeburn Track. This rugged 33km track has it all: ancient forests and alpine lakes, stunning waterfalls, rustling grasslands and so much more. This five day self-guided tour from Te Anau is a chance to discover its unique wonders, together with iconic Milford Sound.
Experience a cruise on the sapphire waters of Milford Sound, and then embrace your spirit of adventure with a three day self-guided trek through the lush valleys, alpine pastures and winding mountain paths of the Routeburn Track. Along the way, enjoy nutritious, lightweight meals and stay at Department of Conservation huts in spectacular locations. Marvel at the impressive cascades of Earland and Routeburn Falls, trek through ancient beech forest - and more! You’ll also receive a night at the historic Te Anau Lodge pre tour, followed by a night at the gorgeous Camp Glenorchy Eco Retreat, one of Time Magazine’s ‘World’s 100 Greatest Places of 2019’.
