We have AN AVAILABLE VACANCY for A BUSINESS ADMIN TRAINEE & INTERN who wants to get practical experience in covering reception, tracking cash, etc as a business admin. As a business admin, you will also be trained and gain some knowledge in different fields such as update tours on our website (ICT), answering customer's enquiries (Sales), processing invoices and other tasks on Xero (Accounting). This will be a two-month program including one month with intensive training from our staff to help you get both theoretical & practical knowledge and the other month will be your part-time internship with us. Depending on your performance, you will receive reference letters, a certificate to recognise your work after two months, 

1. Position Description

  • ​Role Title: Business Admin Trainee & Intern

  • Status: Part Time

Note: Since training sessions are provided, fee will be included for this program

2. Time & Location

  • Time: 2 to 3 days per week from 10am to 4pm

  • Travel With A Cause, 41-43 Victoria St, Hobart CBD, Tasmania TAS 7000

3. Requirements

  • Good communication skill is preferred

  • "Can-do" attitude and willingness to learn 

  • Teamwork and communicating skills are A MUST

  • Have the ability to manage tasks well

4. What You Will Learn

  • Grant application / document preparation & production / file management & reporting 

  • Put tours to our website

  • Learn how to answer the phone and answer customer enquiries.

  • Respond to Spirit of Tasmania Enquiries

  • Issue Parks Passes using the Parks Pass kiosk

  • Processing invoices on Xero

6. Key Accountabilities

  • Doing administrative and clerical tasks (such as scanning or printing)

  • Notifying our staff if any issues (website, operations, etc) that need to be fixed

  • Preparing and editing letters, reports, memos, and emails and applying for grants

  • Running errands to the post office or supply store

  • Arranging meetings, appointments, and executive travel

  • Answering phone calls and taking messages

  • Maintaining folders on servers

  • Recording meeting minutes

  • Liaising with teams and units

  • Tracking petty cash

  • Covering reception
